Hello, my name is Catherine Hois. I am an art educator with a Master of Fine Arts, Bachelor of Fine Arts, and Bachelor of Education from York University. I have 10 years of experience teaching art to people of all ages and levels, from elementary and high school to adults in Toronto and Windsor Ontario. I enjoy helping others discover and develop their own artistic potential and expression!

I have recently worked as an education assistant and an art teacher at Art Windsor-Essex, under Young Canada Works Internship in 2023.

Currently, I work as a part-time art teacher at Art Windsor-Essex in Collaboration with United Way Windsor-Essex County, developing and teaching monthly youth art classes. I also teach private online and in person art classes, tailored to individual levels, needs, and interests.

I love painting, drawing, sculpture, and stop-motion animation. I also enjoy using the brightest colours I can find. Throughout my experience and career as an artist, one of the most important things I have learned is that there is no such thing as perfection. I like to look at mistakes as opportunities and possibilities to learn something new, or discover a new way of making art!

Some of my hobbies outside of visual arts, are dancing, baking, going for walks in nature, and playing my cat Ralphie.
