Work Experience

November 2022- April 2023 – Education Assistant at Art Windsor-Essex – Young Canada Works internship

September 2022 – Visual Arts Teacher at Art Windsor-Essex – I created 4 different art projects to teach every Sunday at Art Windsor-Essex, as part of the Sunday’s in the Studio program in the month of September 2022

January – May 2022 – Visual Arts Teacher at Neilson Park Creative Centre – I created two courses at NPCC, both running 6 weeks. The first, Abstract Painting for Beginners was in January 2022, and the second, Abstract Found Object Painting was in April/May, 2022.

2014-2015 – Student teacher for Visual Arts art at Markville Secondary School, 1000 Carlton Rd, Unionville, ON L3P 7P5 – I have experience in organizing monthly unit plans and daily lesson plans, have created visual art assignments in painting, drawing, and sculpture, teaching classes of 20+ students from grade 9-12 in a studio setting, giving students feedback, orchestrating class critiques, marking students on their visual art assignments, and demonstrating technique examples

2019 – I was invited by Janet Jones to have a space in the 4th year painting studio, for the 2019-2020 academic year. With this opportunity, I was able to develop my own research and assist any 4th year student in the class who needed feedback on their work.

Extra Curricular Activity

2020 – Winter Term       Shadow for Janet Jones in her painting class FA/VISA 2023 Creating Space in Contemporary Painting. Janet Jones’ email: jjones@yorku.ca – Janet Jones invited me to shadow her in a painting class, and I have experience giving students feedback in a university studio setting, as a teaching figure. I would come to the class every week and be there while Janet would discuss and explain assignments, as well as active studio time.
